KAILASH KHER sings for FIFA World Cup 2010

The FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa is preparing to kick off next June and one of Indian cinema's better known playback singers, Kailash Kher, of  'Allah ke Bande', 'Chand Sifarish' ('Fanaa') and more recently 'Delhi 6' and 'Kaminey' fame has been requested to record three songs for the event. He is therefore currently in Los Angeles getting this accomplished. Kher will record one solo track of his inspiration and will collaborate in two additional tracks with Algerian singer Khaled, known for his worldwide hit 'Aicha', as well as with Flying Machine and Nigerian singer King Sunny Ade. Production is in charge of the official sponsors of the soccer event: T-Mobile and Fender Guitars.

The songs shall be released in April 2010 and will constitute Kher's first independent work following his band, Kailasa's, acclaimed third album: 'Kailasa Chaandan Mien' (Kailasa in Moonlight) and their recent successful US tour.

Here is wishing the earthy voice of Kher and his team deep inspiration and success.
